The Bachelor Program in Fine Arts at Maranatha Christian University is the only fine arts study program managed by an accredited private university in Indonesia. The Bachelor Program in Fine Arts prepares its graduates to be able to work flexibly in the world of fine arts.
Academic Activities
The curriculum for the Bachelor Program in Fine Arts emphasizes mastery of theoretical and technical art/skills as well as strong managerial abilities. The learning program focuses on three main competencies which include theoretical, technical, and management competencies. The major in this study program is painting and the studio art ceramics as the minor. Painting learning in the studio is supported by real learning practices on how to organize art exhibition events, work organization and its management. Each student gets a permanent work "lot" facility in the painting studio and art gallery to learn to exhibit.
Future and Career
Graduates of this program have competence in scientific theory of art, competence in art techniques and media, and competence in art management. Graduates can have professional careers and become entrepreneurs in the creative industry in the field of fine arts, become independent artists, art curators, illustrators, as well as managers/owners of art galleries.
