The Medical Doctor Education Program at the Faculty of Medicine consists of two levels, namely the Bachelor Program in Medicine (S-1) and the Medical Doctor Profession Program. The Medical Doctor Profession Program can be enrolled in 3 semesters with a study load of 37 Credit Units. After completing the S-1 level with a Bachelor of Medicine (S.Ked.) degree, a graduate must continue his studies to the professional level, to obtain a Doctor's professional degree.
The Medical Doctor Profession Program at the Faculty of Medicine aims to produce graduates who have the following characteristics:
- Have competence as a primary care doctor in accordance with the Indonesian Doctor Competency Standards.
- Have the spirit to develop themselves to be the best at national and international levels.
- Have a professional attitude, be virtuous, and uphold the values of love in serving the community.
- Have the ability to apply herbal medicine science and evidence-based medical nutrition science, for prevention and treatment according to community needs.
Academic Activities
Students study various courses in accordance with the Indonesian Medical Education Standards, plus elective courses that are the hallmark of the Faculty of Medicine, Maranatha Christian University, namely Medical Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, and Medical Acupuncture.
Students are facilitated with complete educational facilities and infrastructure, both physical infrastructure such as laboratories, to e-learning facilities, as well as facilities for conducting research at the Medical Science Research Center.
In the Medical Doctor Profession Program, learning is carried out at the main teaching hospital, namely Immanuel Hospital, and several networked teaching hospitals in the city of Bandung and its surroundings.
